It’s hard to imagine that Canary Wharf was once an abandoned industrial estate on the Isle of Dogs. These days it’s the capital’s second largest finance district (City of London comes in at number one). Some of the city’s tallest buildings now stand on previously derelict land. Canary Wharf’s working population currently stands at 120,000 - a figure that many predict will double by the late 2020s. As the world’s most connected tech community, it has 1,250 members who work across cybersecurity, fintech and retail tech. While the area certainly isn’t short of entrepreneurs, it doesn’t scrimp on transport links either. You’ll find numerous rail links from Canary Wharf Underground Station, and City Airport makes international business travel all the more quick and convenient.
